What is MONSE?

MONSE is an advanced system that helps social care facilities effectively monitor seniors in their rooms, especially during night hours, without the need to disrupt their sleep with regular check-ups. MONSE uses motion sensors to monitor movement in the room, thus providing important information about the health status of the senior residents allowing the staff to respond quickly to high-risk emergencies such as disorientation of the elderly person etc. The solution also includes MONSE mini, which provides monitoring of seniors' location outside the facility, e.g. during walks.

How does MONSE work?

  • Motion sensors in the room

    The sensors monitor the movement of seniors outside their bed. They offer adjustable sensitivity responding to the individual needs of the senior as well as the facility.
     

  • Door sensors

    They inform you about senior leaving the room during the night or accidental movement, which may indicate disorientation or an emergency with the need for help.
     

  • SOS button in the bathroom

    Provides seniors with a quick and easy way to call for immediate assistance in an emergency. Accidental falls and sudden health issues like weakness, disorientation, and cardiac difficulty frequently occur in bathrooms, making them a high-risk area in any facility or home. 
     

  • MONSE mini

    A key fob tracker provides real-time monitoring of seniors' movements outside the facility, alerting the staff if they enter designated high-risk areas. It even enables a telephonic connection and automatic answering of the call without the need for the senior to get involved.
     

  • Tailoring the features for each individual room

     Customization of parameters taking into account the health status and needs of the respective seniors.

FAQs – Frequently asked questions

  • Can we customize MONSE for individual seniors in our facility?

    Yes, MONSE allows you to customize the settings for each individual room, according to the resident's health status, mobility, and daily activities, ensuring that any alerts are based only on real emergencies.

  • How often does MONSE send alerts?

    MONSE only triggers an alert if an unusual or risky situation occurs, such as the resident is moving around the room at night or when they leave the room. Notifications are not generated for routine daily activities.
     

  • Are cameras and audio monitoring part of MONSE?

    MONSE does not contain any devices for audio or video recording. The sensor network consists of motion sensors that respond exclusively to movement (physical activity) in the monitored field. The individual components ensure discreetness and do not interfere with personal privacy.
     

  • How are sensors installed? Is it necessary to install cables inside/on the walls?

    Individual sensors (motion, door) are installed using a special adhesive tape suitable for placement in the required locations of the monitored premises.
